MUSEUM DOCUMENTATION: A COMBINATION OF SCIENCE AND ARTS, A TRAINING WILL BE ORGANIZED TO EMPOWER MUSEUM PROFESSIONALS

The National Museum of Natural History, the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, and the Institute for the Study of Mongolian Dinosaurs are pleased to announce a special training course for museum professionals!

This course will be led by Stephanie Abramovich, a natural history expert from Los Angeles, USA, and Dr. M. Bolortsetseg, founder of the Mongolian Dinosaur Research Institute, and will teach you how to professionally document and map artifacts from the excavation site to the museum exhibition hall. Course topics:

  • Field documentation and 3D data
  • Museum photography and standards
  • Creating research maps and diagrams
  • Turning artifacts into "stories" for the public

Course: March 31 - April 4, 2026. Time: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Location: National Museum of Natural History Museum researchers, archivists, librarians, educators, curators, designers, and artists are invited.
