FOREIGN COOPERATION OF THE NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM

The Natural History Museum has expanded its foreign cooperation and signed a memorandum of understanding with Nagoya University Museum, one of the seven imperial universities in Japan.

Today, the meeting of the parties and the signing of the memorandum of understanding in Nagoya, Japan, are the first cases in the history of the Natural History Museum to sign a memorandum of understanding with a Japanese museum.

Within the framework of this memorandum, various activities will be carried out, such as the exchange of researchers and experts, cooperation in scientific research, and exchange of experiences. In addition to the above activities starting in 2026, a new page in the museum industry will be opened by holding joint exhibitions in Japan and jointly implementing natural science education programs. There was also a fruitful meeting to exchange ideas on cooperation in the establishment of the Science Hall of the National Museum of Natural Sciences, a new development of the Natural History Museum.

Incidentally, Nagoya University has produced 7 Nobel Prize winners in the field of natural sciences.
